Harlingen,
Texas: Where it all Begins
Just before
ending its 1800 mile journey from the mountains of Colorado to the
Gulf of Mexico, the Rio Grande River cuts through south Texas, channeling
its course through one of the most fertile land areas anywhere in
the world: the lower Rio Grande Valley. The town of Harlingen, Texas,
sits in the Valley. This is where Forever Living Products' Aloe
Vera is grown, receives loving care and is harvested.
FLP's Aloe Plantations
cover hundreds of acres of rich, fertile soil, and nurture Aloe
Vera plants through various stages of cultivation, from initial
planting through all phases of growth. Mature plants ready for harvest
are plentiful enough to supply FLP's current needs many times over.
A crop of this
size is important as it ensures enough Aloe Vera to accommodate
increased demands in the future as well as all existing needs. Also,
it permits FLP to maintain strict quality control and guarantee
both distributors and retail customers the highest quality Aloe
Vera on the market.
In 1980, FLP
purchased its first Aloe Vera fields. In each year since then, the
Company has expanded Aloe Vera grown. In 1981, FLP bought "Aloe
Vera of America, Inc." and two franchises for Aloe Vera stabilization
technique to ensure that the functions of Aloe Vera can be maintained
during manufacturing process.
Today FLP is
the largest grower, manufacturer and distributor of Aloe Vera in
the world, with plantations in the United States, Mexico and Dominican
Republic. By owning our own plantations we control the high standards
of an organic growing environment, free from chemical fertilizers
and pesticides.
FLP
owns its Aloe Vera plantations to ensure the supply. FLP's Aloe
is the best among its kind. It is known as Aloe Barbadensis. The
first phase is to transplant a "pup" delicately from an Aloe stalk
to the soil.
