How
to Identify Quality Aloe Products ?
Depending
on the freshness and quality, Aloe Vera can be used externally
with it's superior moisturizing properties and internally
as an exceptionally nutritional drink.
Many Aloe
Vera drinks and lotions; however, are produced in such a way
as to minimize (if not destroy altogether) the enzymes, minerals,
vitamins and amino acids found naturally in the living plant.
Be sure the product you purchase is similar in content to
the raw, fresh plant. A number of Aloe Vera drinks found in
super markets and health food stores are watered-down or improperly
stabilized - if stabilized at all. You'd probably be surprised
to learn that according to the FDA (United States Food and
Drug Administration) a manufacturer can legally have only
two tablespoons of Aloe Vera in one GALLON OF WATER and still
call it 100% Aloe Vera juice!
The next
time you see a juice that says "100% Aloe Vera", check the
label carefully. The drink should also have the seal of the
"International Aloe Science Council" on it.
The "International
Aloe Science Council" is a non-profit organization which promotes
the study of Aloe Vera and its uses, as well as certifies
brand pureness and quality.
There
are many drinks and products which are excellent - the trick
is to find them! (There are some excellent, IASC endorsed
aloe drinks, as well as some which you might want to avoid.)
