Rosecea and Aloe

Aloe is EXCELLENT for Rosecea (sometimes spelled "Rosacea"). As people with Rosecea surely know, it is a genetically inherited condition affecting people typically with Irish ancestry. As such, it cannot be "cured" any more than brown eyes can be turned blue by drinking Aloe.

Here are a few pointers that can help:

1) Avoid temperature extremes (hot or cold air, for example).

2) Avoid cold or hot water on your face, this will only cause the condition to worsen over time.

3) Avoid lotions and cremes with scent (perfume) in them.

4) Avoid cosmetics that aren't 100% natural. The benefits of drinking Aloe are many, including helping to maintain a steady blood pressure. Also, most women with Rosecea cannot use cosmetics as it tends to aggravate the already sensitive skin (and cause even more redness and "blotchiness"). However, if you use the Aloe Vera Gelly on your skin first (gently rub some onto the face until completely absorbed, then apply a second, thin layer on the skin to dry) and then apply the makeup of your choice. Topical Aloe will help to keep the capillaries just under the skin from "swelling".

There is a new line ("The Sonya Collection" of Aloe-based makeup which is actually good for your skin. You can learn more about it from one of the links on the Recommended Items page.
